Which chew suits a 25–60 lb dog?

A 6-inch stick. It is the default for the biggest group of dogs for a reason: enough length for a real session and a real safety margin, without paying for inches a moderate chewer does not need.

When to move up

If a 6-inch standard disappears in a few minutes, go up in thickness before length — a 6-inch jumbo is the same manageable size with far more chew in it. That is usually the right answer for an enthusiastic medium dog, ahead of jumping to a 12-inch.

Which protein?

Beef pizzle is the hardest and longest-lasting. Lamb collagen is lighter and cleaner indoors. Lamb tripe is the one that wins over a dog that ignores the other two. A variety pack settles the question in a week.
